Before launching your solution in Blackbaud Hosting Services for the first time, you must install the Citrix Workspace on each workstation.
NOTE: IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ADMINISTRATIVE PRIVILEGES ON YOUR MACHINE, YOU MAY NEED TO CONTACT YOUR ORGANIZATION'S IT DEPARTMENT TO INSTALL THE CITRIX RECEIVER FOR YOU.
- Navigate to https://www.citrix.com/downloads/workspace-app/
- Download the appropriate version - Workspace app for Windows Current Release
- Once downloaded, if the Installer does not start automatically, run the file.
- Once installation is complete, click Close or Finish (depending on your Operating System).
- NOTE: If prompted to enter an email address and create an account, click Cancel. This feature would create a Citrix Receiver account, which is not required in Blackbaud Hosting Services.
- Navigate to renxt.blackbaud.com to log in and launch your hosted application.
If your application is launching in Adobe Acrobat Reader or Internet Explorer, the .ica file type is associated with a program other than the Citrix Connection Manager. Follow steps listed here
Windows 10
- In the browser being used (such as Chrome) press CTRL + J to open the Downloads for the browser.
- Under the Launch.ica file last downloaded, click Show in Folder
- When the folder opens, right-click on the Launch.ica file. Select Open with...
- Click "Choose another app"
- Place a check in the "Always use this app to open .ica files" checkbox
- Click More apps
- Scroll to the bottom of the list and select "Look for another app on this PC"
-
How to associate the .ica file type:
The common file path to the Citrix Receiver application is C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\ICA Client\wfcrun32.exe - Click on your C drive on the left side and then open the Program Files (x86) folder.
- Open the Citrix folder, and then open the ICA Client folder
- Double-click on the WFCRun32 application (be careful not to select the Wfica32 application)
- Click OK to confirm the association with the Citrix Connection Manager
